The Gospel – the story of hope found in Christ is the most radical transformative message in all of human history. Pain, fear, shame, and guilt are vanquished at the power of the cross. Imagine a life of freedom and peace, coupled with the adventure of faith, and unconditional fellowship. While no church is perfect, First Church of Christ longs to connect people to a life changing relationship with Jesus and to build relationships that last.
our vision
Our vision is to be a church who changes lives. The Great Commission is a call to make disciples of all nations. We are passionate about Jesus and believe that He is the source of all hope. In other words, we are commissioned by Christ to be ambassadors of hope to the world today. Our vision is for First Church of Christ to be a beacon of hope, the light of the world, and to share this message with Lake County, Ohio.
our community
First Church of Christ is a multigenerational congregation. We are a fellowship of all ages who eagerly desire to follow Jesus more closely. Some have attended FCC from birth or for many decades while others are new to our family this year. Some were born in Painesville while others hail from around the globe. In the end, we long to be a Christ-like fellowship and family of multiple generations and ethnicities who grow together in fellowship and faith.

Whether it is through missions, Sunday morning worship, or the day to day conversations with a neighbor, our members eagerly desire to impact the world for Christ. It is our mission to be a beacon of hope to the Painesville community and beyond by living through our faith in action in the many various avenues of outreach available in the open doors God provides.
